IRIS Software4Sport wins 'Approved Supplier' status

4 Aug 2008

IRIS Software4Sport has been promoted to the premier league as one of only four software companies to be given full Football League 'approved CRM supplier' status.

The announcement follows completion of a project commissioned by the Football League to help its member Clubs gain a better understanding the concept of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), to independently assess all current and prospective suppliers and to provide a credible list of 'Approved Suppliers' who will aid Club adoption and reduce any associated risks.

IRIS Software4Sport and its fully integrated ticketing solution, IRIS TALENT Sport, were given premier status in an exhaustive screening process that identified:

  • How many credible suppliers are in the market
  • The size and type of suppliers' organisations
  • Contact information / process
  • Financial stability
  • Reference sites
  • Football club market share including FAPL (Football Association Premier League)
  • Cost structures

The four core areas that led to IRIS Software4Sport's approval were:

  • Pedigree of the organisation
  • Capability of the CRM software
  • Service and support offered to Football League clubs
  • Cost of all products and services

Glenn Jackson, Managing Director of IRIS Software4Sport commented "It is the sort of news that reinforces our position as a top team. We provide CRM and ticketing software for 17 premier brands and we have considerable experience in working with in-house IT and marketing departments to tailor our product to deliver a fast, efficient and accurate system that helps clubs make more informed decisions. A perfect partnership."

In their comprehensive Customer Relationship Management Approved Supplier Report, the Football League identifies the need for member clubs to better market themselves and understand the important role of CRM.

The eighteen page report published in May this year, considered the need and value of CRM to the modern club. It concluded "The simple answer is yes, because the basic principle of CRM is that you identify and look after your customers better, then ultimately they will be more committed to the club and spend more money."

Glenn added "The Football League process was impartial, thorough and provides member clubs with an informed understanding of CRM and those companies able to provide right products and level of support. IRIS Software4Sport is one of the key players."
